How Do I Meet People?

Stevens Memorial Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Stevens.

Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Stevens has small Bible studies each Sunday morning. The sizes of the groups varies.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The youth ministry of Stevens Memorial Baptist Church is recognized for their close interaction.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions, bigger stakes, serious relationships and a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Stevens provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Women on Mission

Stevens has three WMU circles, which meet at varying times during the month.  The circles are focused on teaching women about missions and on doing missions.  Whether it is making sandwiches for the hungry clients of the Salvation Army, collecting food for a local foodbank, or gathering school supplies for migrant workers’ children, there is a circle for every woman.

Over 50’s

Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, our Young at Heart group provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction.
